EXCLUSIVE: LAPD's Brittany Murphy Investigation Remains Open, Focuses On Possible Overdose

While foul play has been initially dismissed as a factor in the death of Brittany Murphy and officials believe she died of natural causes, RadarOnline.com has confirmed that the Los Angeles Police Department is keeping their investigation open and now focusing on a possible overdose.
“We are keeping the investigation open until the toxicology reports are available in five to six weeks,” a senior LAPD source privy to the investigation told RadarOnline.com exclusively. “We are focusing on possible overdose scenarios including looking at prescription medicines.”

On Sunday, the actress was transported to Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles after being found unconscious in her bathroom in the early morning hours. After three attempts to resuscitate her failed, she was declared dead after suffering from cardiac arrest.
