Ex-Wife Asks Fans To Save David Hasselhoff's Life From Alcoholism

Pamela Hasselhoff has broken her public silence about her ex-husband David with a stinging statement begging his fan to help save him before he dies from alcoholism.

The Baywatch star has been hospitalized more than five times with alcohol poisoning in recent years, RadarOnline.com has reported exclusively. He ended up in Cedars-Sinai Medical Center recently after days of drinking and was put on a psych hold.

But nothing has helped The Hoff beat booze and his lawyers and handlers and even one Web site constantly cover for him publicly, denying that his ridiculously numerous trips to the hospital are alcohol related. Meanwhile, Pamela just received a DUI – her second.

"The despair, feeling hopeless and unable to believe that things can ever change with David’s alcoholism over the years has affected our whole family. We want our lives to be different, but nothing we have done has brought about change. We ask David’s fans, supporters and handlers to take swift action to save this wonderful man’s life. I have always been close to my daughters to comfort and support them as well always being there for David. We will be forever hurt from this cruel disease. I am grateful for our two daughters who have been incredibly brave, strong and protective souls."

Sources tell RadarOnline.com that Pam believes David’s problems are taking too big a toll on his daughters, who previously have called 911 after finding their father drunk.
