Adam Lambert hasn't always looked the part of an Idol: the handsome vocalist told Sirius radio of his battles with self-image -- and waistline -- on Monday.
"I suffered from a little bit of an ugly ducking complex in my early twenties," Lambert, 27, said. "When I was in high school I was 250 pounds ... and that creates some stuff ... some body image stuff, some confidence issues, and I got a lot of my confidences from validation I got as a performer."

Lambert said that his love life was hindered well into his 20s, though through life experience and maturity, he eventually started “feeling beautiful from the inside out.”
Lambert's solo album, For Your Entertainment, is in stores now; it is the first album released from the glam rocker, who finished second in this year's American Idol competition to Kris Allen.
