VIDEO: Rihanna -"I Went Back After He Beat Me, Which Was Wrong"

Rihanna, breaking her silence for the first time, said it was wrong for her to temporarily stay with ex-boyfriend Chris Brown after he beat her this past spring, in an exclusive interview with Good Morning America on Thursday.

"That's embarrassing that that's they type of person I fell in love with" the Pon De Replay singer told Diane Sawyer. "So far in love; so unconditional that I went back ... its humiliating to say this happened. To accept that? Its a traumatic mistake."
The 21-year-old Barbadian beauty said she briefly reunited with Brown after the Feb. 8, addressed the backslash she received after reports filtered in of the malicious beating the Forever singer gave her.
"I'm a human being and people put me on a very unrealistic pedestal," she said. "All of these expectations, I'm not perfect."
The Disturbia singer, who has kept a low profile since the Feb. 8 incident, said she has experienced extreme periods of loneliness.
She said of the press coverage surrounding the incident, that a lot of women “have experienced what I did, but not in the public.”
Brown was sentenced to five years' probation and ordered to do 180 days of community labor as a part of the plea deal he made in June for his assault, which took place in in Hancock Park, California. The restraining order issued to Brown orders to keep his distance from her for five years.
