Tiger Woods Will Be Tournament No Show

Tiger Woods has pulled out of his scheduled appearance at this week’s Chevron World Challenge, citing car crash injuries as his reason.

The golf champ posted on his web site Monday, "I am extremely disappointed that I will not be at my tournament this week. I am certain it will be an outstanding event and I'm very sorry that I can't be there."

"We support Tiger's decision and are confident the strong field and excellent course will provide an exciting week of competition at the Chevron World Challenge,” said Greg McLaughlin, Tiger Woods Foundation President & CEO.

The tournament runs from December 1 - 6 at the exclusive Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks, CA. It features a field of just 18 players, all invited by Tiger, and will be televised by NBC.
