Ryan Seacrest Wants Restraining Order Extended

Ryan Seacrest’s attorneys will be in court Tuesday requesting an extension of a stay away order against a man charged with stalking the American Idol star.
Ryan Seacrest’s Alleged Stalker Detained
On October 30th a LA judge granted Seacrest a temporary restraining order against Chidi Benjamin Uzomah Jr. directing him to stay at least 100 yards away from Seacrest, his home and workplace.
Uzomah is charged with stalking Seacrest “on or between'' Sept. 15 and Oct. 30, and attempting to disobey a court order on Oct. 2 and Oct. 30.
Uzomah was arrested Oct. 30 at the E! Building, where Seacrest tapes a daily TV show, when he turned up at the building asking for Seacrest and brandishing a knife.
He is charged with one felony count of stalking and two misdemeanor counts of attempted disobeying of a court order.

Uzomah was convicted of three misdemeanor counts last month after attacking a Seacrest security guard at a hospital in Orange County. He also
pleaded guilty to three misdemeanors and was placed on three years probation, a condition of which was a requirement that he stay away from Seacrest.
