The mother of a 10-year-old girl who was reportedly tased by a police officer because she was out of control is defending the cop's actions.

Kelly King now claims that Sheriff Dustin Bradshaw from Ozark Police Department, who was suspended after the incident, only used the taser as a stun gun on her daughter Kiara Medlock.

"If my child had been truly tased, I'd be the first person asking for the officer involved to be terminated and charged," revealed King. "However, that is not what occurred."

According to King, when Sheriff Bradshaw arrived at her home in Arkansas earlier this month, he was kicked in the groin area by her daughter and used the Taser as a stun gun for around a second to stop the child from hurting herself.

The 'stun mode' is intended to cause pain without incapacitating the person; no electrical current is discharged which voluntarily disrupt the control of the muscles.

King is now adamant that at no time were any were prongs or wires of the Taser on her child and that her daughter's health, safety and well being, were always her primary concern.

Following the incident, the fifth grader's father, truck driver Anthony Medlock, claimed that there were burn marks on his daughter's back.

Medlock, who has joint legal custody of the girl, was furious that his child had reportedly been tased.

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: Tasered Girl's Dad Glad FBI Are Investigating

He told RadarOnline.com: "When I heard what they had done I wanted to whoop that cop's ass. I blame both the cop and the mother because as far as I'm concerned that's child abuse plain and simple. My daughter does have some emotional issues but she's not that bad and I haven't had any big problems with her. As far as I'm concerned if the mother can't control the child then the child should not be with her."

Following the incident on November 11, 2009, both the local police department and the FBI launched independent investigations into what happened.
