EXCLUSIVE VIDEO INTERVIEW: Stephanie Pratt Says DUI Was A Disaster

The Hills is know for the never ending drama of the stars that spend their days and nights fighting with each other, but the show took a serious turn when Stephanie Pratt, brother of resident villain Spencer and sister-in-law of Heidi Montag, got a DUI in October. “It was a complete set up,” Stephanie told RadarOnline.com in an exclusive interview about the night she got her DUI after only having two drinks.

We noticed the reality star drove herself to the MAXIM magazine and Ubisoft launch of Assassin’s Creed II video game in Hollywood Wednesday night, but she assured us that she was a responsible driver. “I could not be safer if my life depended on it,” Stephanie told RadarOnline.com. Looking glamorous on the red carpet in a Topshop dress with spiky YSL shoes, the 23 year old explained why she was so desperate at the time of the DUI. “I had a really big loss in my life that I never really recovered from,” Pratt said. She realized that the depression she was in was not healthy, and questioned her motives. “Why am I destroying my life,” she said she asked herself.

In the first few hours after her arrest, Stephanie said she had dark thoughts. “My life is over, I don’t want to live,” were her first reactions, but then a few hours later changed her mind, telling herself  “It’s a bump in the road, I’ve been through a lot worse and I didn’t hurt anyone.”

Stephanie said that she has turned a corner and feels better now. “It was a disaster but a blessing,” she said. “I finally have that spark back in my life.” Pratt warmly hugged her friends Lauren Conrad and Lo Bosworth on the red carpet and enjoyed the launch party but was definitely not drinking inside!
