Carrie Prejean seems to have made an enemy of the one person who stood by her side, and that probably wasn’t a good idea.  Although he eventually fired Carrie, Donald Trump had initially stood by her side after her answer on gay marriage at the Miss USA Pageant, but she managed to alienate him when she wrote in her book that he mistreated the contestants in the Miss USA Pageant.

Paula Shugart, the President of The Miss Universe Organization told RadarOnline.com that “Carrie’s version of the truth and the facts are two very different things.”  Shugart had multiple interactions with Carrie over the last year.  “From my dealings with Carrie,” she said. “I simply do not understand how she could have any credibility in the public eye.”

Pageant Official Slams Prejean Over Being Opportunistic

Shugart continued “The reality is that Carrie wants to sell and promote her book by including Mr. Trump, but her account of what happened is inaccurate.”   She also said that Carrie’s adamant stance about her beliefs were questionable. “Sadly, it appears that Carrie is frequently in error but never in doubt.”

"Carrie should be ashamed of herself,” Trump said on Tuesday.

In her book Still Standing Carrie lashes out at The Donald, saying that he came back stage before the Pageant competition and asked the contestants which girl they found “hot” and split the girls into two sides.  “It became clear that the point of the whole exercise was for him to divide the room between girls he personally found attractive and those he did not,” Carrie wrote.  She said that many of the girls found “this exercise humiliating,” and that some of them were sobbing back stage.

Trump responded to Extra, “Certainly I would never do a thing like that, because it would be too hurtful. I don't stand the ones that are less attractive to one side, and the beautiful ones on the other side. It was total nonsense — it was fiction in her imagination… I don't even know how she came up with an idea like that…She should not have written that in the book."

Carrie has continued to stir the controversy surrounding her by a nasty remark to President Obama too.  Writing about her hysteria-making moment during the Miss USA pageant, Carrie says: "But like most Californians and a certain candidate for president from Illinois, I believed then and I believe now that marriage should be a legally recognized sacrament between a man and a woman. If that makes me a bigot, so is Barack Obama."
