Jimmy Kimmel got one small silver lining in the storm cloud concerning his controversial relationship with staffer Molly McNearney. His show Jimmy Kimmel Live enjoyed a small ratings boost following the announcement of their romance.

While Kimmel didn't get the blockbuster ratings burst David Letterman enjoyed when his affairs went public, his show did go from a 1.42 rating to 1.46 rating overall for the week following the October 10 outing.

It seems the drama (including revelations that he transferred her boyfriend to another show in order to more easily pursue her) hasn't hurt his budding relationship with McNearney. Days after the announcement, she was spotted leaving his Hollywood Hills home after a sleepover.
