Jon Gosselin is demanding that TLC pull the plug on Jon & Kate Plus 8, saying the show is "detrimental" to his children.

But just one month ago, after a family member made the same charge, Jon dismissed the claim as "ridiculous' - and RadarOnline.com has the video to prove it!

Kate Gosselin's brother Kevin Kreider and his wife Jodi gave exclusive video interviews to RadarOnline.com in late July, saying they believed the Gosselin children were being exploited and the show should be shut down.

But Jon vehemently denied that and defended the show he's now trying to shut down, days after the network announced it was minimizing his role and changing the name of the program to Kate Plus 8.

In a video interview posted on RadarOnline.com in late July, Jon responded to assertions that the show was harming his children by saying that the kids love the production crew and have built a rapport with them.

"They make nicknames for them," he said. "We all get along and play together. It's comfortable for the kids to film. They look at this filming as life. No one has ever forced them to do anything. I've never forced them to film. We don't force them to do anything they don't want to do. They're not actors and actresses. They just do their normal things."

Were the kids overworked? Not according to Jon, who said: "My kids probably film an hour and half to two hours a day and we only film three days a week. For Kevin and Jodi to go out there and say were filming eight hours a day and it's hard core, that's ridiculous."

"The whole premise of the show was to save money for the kids," Jon said. "Kate and I's number one priority are our kids."
