VIDEO: It's Victory Day For The Ladies Of The The View!

After years and years of snubs, The View's fabulous five -- Barbara Walters, Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sherri Shepherd and Elisabeth Hasselbeck -- missed out on their moment, as none of the women showed up Aug. 30, the night they won the best host award at the 36th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards in Los Angeles, California.
On Tuesday, they got the moment back as they returned from their summer hiatus. The award winners, who edged four-year incumbent champ Ellen DeGeneres for the win, brought out their glistening Emmy awards and reveled in their elusive prize on a spectacular brand new set.
Behar said she thought the group won because of the "political year."
"There's always one of us to hate," Behar said, noting that strong, opinionated personalities such as herself and Hasselbeck (absent after giving birth to her third child, son Isaiah, last month) likely was the reason it took so long for the popular show to garner such honors.
Walters, telling the audience, "This year no View cast members went,” read a belated acceptance speech to the crowd, thanking the academy and her broadcast colleagues for the honor.
