Michaelangelo L’Acqua, an international music & fashion expert, has been inked to be the W Hotels’ first-ever global music director, a role in which the veteran will enhance the hotel's presence within the music industry and community, as well as enhancing the overall hotel experience via music.

Said L’Acqua: "It is such an exciting time to join the W Hotels brand as they are expanding globally; while the music industry is trying to adapt to change and reconnect to their core audience, W is undertaking innovative ways to offer music to their guests as an integral part of their contemporary lifestyle. I am honored to have been chosen ... to help execute W’s vision.”

L’Acqua has worked for the likes of Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, Michael Kors, John Varvatos, Chanel, and Diane von Furstenberg, among others

producing fashion shows, concerts and other gala events that interweave sights and sounds.

The signing comes as little surprise to those charting the hotel chain, which has always looked outside the box, tapping into fashion, music and pop culture to set themselves a part from the pack.
