John Travolta feels so strongly about the efforts of two men to extort millions from him after his son Jett's tragic death, he has agreed to testify against them in the trial beginning Monday.

RadarOnline.com was the first with the news that Travolta was expected to take the stand.

Now it's confirmed.  The actor will fly to the Bahamas and relate to a jury, first-hand, what happened.

Paramedic Tarino Lighthouse and Pleasant Bridgewater, a former Bahamian senator, stand accused of trying to extort $25 million from the actor following the January 2 death of his son Jett. They wanted Travolta to turn over the money in exchange for a document relating to Jett's care. Both say they are not guilty of the charges.

The incident has become a major embarrassment in the Bahamas, where Travolta and his family own a home and have vacationed for more than a decade.

On September 10, John, his wife Kelly Preston and their daughter Ella Bleu made their first public appearance as a family since Jett's death.

The three appeared at a Disney fan expo to promote their new film, Old Dogs.
