Kristin Cavallari is apparently no Lauren Conrad. Judging by the ratings from the season six premiere, The Hills may be over the hill.

Conrad's Ex Jason Wahler Sent to Jail Again

Tuesday's show was the series' lowest-rated premiere yet, with 2.1 million viewers tuning in. Still solid numbers for cable but a sharp decline from the 3 million viewers from last season¹s premiere in April and the 3.5 million from August 2008's opening episode.

The Hills' Change of Guard

There is still hope yet for the twenty-somethings: the series is the top program on television in its time period in the 12-34 demo the network targets.

Meanwhile, the second season premiere of The City- the spinoff show starring Hills alum Whitney Port- went up 43%, drawing more than 2 million viewers compared to the 1.6 million viewers who tuned in when the series debuted.
