Fab Four Double-Platinum This Month

Even in these days of flagrant downloads and rampant media sharing, the Beatles can still sell a record or two -- million, that is.
The Fab Four's latest offering, the CD release of their digitally re-mastered catalog, has made a global splash in its first month, to the tune of 2.25 million copies sold in its first five days of release.
The recordings are of an uber-high quality that took more than four years for engineers to perfect; the result are sounds that make for the highest fidelity Beatles recordings released since the Boys had mop-tops and were making girls scream on Ed Sullivan's stage.
The crisp sounds have meant record-breaking success for the Beatles, as the re-mastered albums set records in the U.S. Japan, Canada and other nations. (To think we're still a few months away from the Christmas retail frenzy.)
And with sales like that, you know they should be glad (yeah, yeah, yeah!).
