Susan Boyle is poised to make her American splash on the season finale of America’s Got Talent and her brother Gerry talks to RadarOnline.com about how she is holding up, why she chose to sing a Rolling Stones song, and what Simon Cowell is really like.

“She is in a great place right now and very confident about her career at this point as her new album apparently sounds excellent,” Gerry said. Though Boyle had a very public meltdown during the end of her stint on Britain’s Got Talent, Gerry thinks his sister is poised to handle the American transition smoothly. “This is a totally different set of circumstances and Susan is totally more relaxed – she’s in a great place.”

One reason for the newfound confidence could come from the fact that she has the full support of Cowell behind her:  “Simon Cowell is going to meet with her in America and he has assured us that he will do everything he can to protect Susan and to promote her in the correct fashion. I know Simon has a surly reputation but I think he is a very trust-worthy person who has my sister’s best interests at heart.”

On Wednesday night, Boyle will perform a cover of the Rolling Stones classic Wild horses. Gerry explains that though the choice seems like an odd one, it completely fits with their upbringing. “The song choice might have come across as unusual but both Susan and I loved listening to the Rolling Stones and The Beatles when we were younger,” he revealed. “In fact our mother used to get upset at us playing their records all the time but we didn’t care. I’m sure Susan will blow people away with her rendition.”

Gerry has been busy launching his own business venture Instantworld.com which is an instant music label. Though it is separate from his sister’s career he is hoping at some point she can help  promote his new business.

Boyle’s eagerly awaited debut album I Dreamed A Dream on Simon Cowell's SyCo label is set to be released on November 23.
