It has been over thirty years since Phillip Garrido attended Liberty Union High School in Northern California, but his former classmates tell RadarOnline.com that the accused kidnapper and convicted rapist was always an outsider.

Juanita Jester, who graduated with Garrido, says she is outraged. "People have been calling me up saying 'Can you believe we went to school with him? We are all just sickened. When I heard his name I didn't remember it, but then when I saw his face I recognized it and I got chills. He has that vacant look in his eyes that he always had. Back in the day when we went to Liberty he really didn't have many friends, he certainly wasn't in my circle of friends thank god!  From what I remember he was truly a loner - never really hung out with anyone."

Nick Garcia, who was a year younger than Garrido paints a similar picture. "I was in a band and he was into music but he certainly was not my friend, he had no friends that I knew of. He is an absolute dirtbag and I am glad to say I didn't know him!"

Another Liberty High student, who wishes to remain anonymous admits he knew the violent predator and quickly sensed something was off about the wanna be rock star. "We cut school together a few times and went cruising around town in my car. We were smoking grass and drinking one time and all he wanted to talk about was how famous he was gonna be. He was convinced he was gonna be the next Elvis. I laughed a bit when he told me that and he became enraged. Seriously I thought he was gonna punch my lights out. That's the last time I ever hung out with him. He was a real weirdo."
