Ol' Blue Eyes, Bowie Beach Boys Headline Capitol's Latest Releases On Vinyl

Sure, this is the day of mp3s when people store endless hours of music in their phones, and trips to the record store have been supplanted by logging onto iTunes. And as rapidly-improving technology changes the face and format of music, the cries of nostalgia have becoming deafening, leaving people yearning for a trip to the record store.

Capitol Records has hearkened the cries, and in turn, is slated to release 11 more classic hit albums as part of their “From The Capitol Vaults” U.S. vinyl campaign, the company's re-release of classic works in their catalog in a limited edition release on 180-gram Audiophile quality vinyl, with replicated original artwork and packaging.

Yes, vinyl is back, at least for awhile.

The next wave of records, due out November 3, include works from icons such as Frank Sinatra (Come Dance With Me!, Come Fly With Me, and In The Wee Small Hours); The Beach Boys (Summer Days And Summer Nights!!, Today!) and David Bowie (Aladdin Sane, Diamond Dogs, and Young Americans), among others.
