An anticipated large audience is expected to tune into the new episode of TLC’s mega-hit, Jon and Kate Plus 8, when it returns from summer hiatus Monday night.
The break in new episodes hasn’t dampened public interest in the Gosselins, the Wernersville, Pennsylvania family, whose show has set record-ratings since problems began simmering between Jon, 32, and Kate, 34.
One noticeable change in Monday’s new episode will be confessionals featuring the soon-to-be-divorced parents in separate chairs, as opposed to the couch they had shared in previous episodes.
TLC network president Eileen O’Neill said the network is undecided on whether either of the women Jon has been spotted in public with — 22-year-old party girl Hailey Glassman, or 26-year-old ex-Star Magazine reporter Kate Major — will be featured on the family program.
“We are taking things on a case-by-case basis,” she said.
Jon & Kate Plus 8 airs Mondays at 9/8c on TLC.
