LAPD Detectives descended on Lindsay Lohan’s Hollywood Hills home Tuesday to quiz neighbors about a recent break-in at the star’s property.

The Mean Girls star was targeted for the second time in less than four months after thieves made-off with a safe, bags, jewelry and shoes, belonging to the actress.

The two armed detectives – who have been studying video footage taken during the raid on Sunday morning – stepped-up their investigation by speaking with neighbors at the star-studded enclave where Vince Vaughn and Ryan Gosling have homes.

As they left the crime scene after about forty minutes the detectives were remaining tight- lipped when RadarOnline.com asked them how their case was progressing.

RadarOnline.com exclusively revealed how Lindsay’s father Michael Lohan has vowed to catch those responsible in what he considered to be ‘an inside job’.

Earlier in the day a security consultant met-up with one of Lohan’s assistants at the Spanish style home that she has been renting since November.

After the consultant left the assistant was spotted carrying out a cardboard box full of personal papers belonging to the starlet.

Local residents have been upset by all the paparazzi who have been camping outside her house on the winding street where parking is prohibited.

And they are also upset at the recent spate of break-ins at the house when the crime rate in their neighborhood had been very low until Lohan moved in.

But it looks like Lindsay could be ready to pack her bags and find a more secure property in not such a secluded area.

One neighbor told RadarOnline.com today: “I just spoke with the owner of the property and he told me that she has decided to give it up.

“She really needs to find a more suitable place to stay because this location hasn’t been working for her or the other residents either.

“We feel bad that she had her home broken into but that is something that never usually happens here.”
