Olivia Newton-John’s long-time missing lover is begging people to leave him alone in a mysterious fax sent -- via an intermediary -- to investigators searching for him, according to a private eye who’s been trying to track him down since he vanished four years ago.

Read the fax!

Philip Klein of Klein Investigations of Beaumont, Texas released the fax to RadarOnline.com, and we can show it to you!

Pat McDermott, made headlines around the world when he disappeared on a fishing trip from San Pedro, California in 2005.

Newton-John was heartbroken that their nine-year romance could be over.

Authorities felt certain that McDermott had fallen overboard and drowned.

However, Klein’s PI company -- which was hired to solve this mystery -- suspected McDermott, a bankrupt cameraman, staged his own death to escape sky-rocketing bills and cash in on a life insurance scam.

Then there was a major breakthrough in the case when Klein received a letter allegedly faxed on his behalf last February. In part it read, alive, well and innocent and begged people to “stop this search immediately!”

After investigators demanded further proof that McDermott was indeed alive, the friends of McDermott sent the investigation team a current photograph of him. However, the photo is very grainy.

According to Klein, the U.S. Coast Guard has uncovered dramatic new evidence revealing how McDermott planned his disappearance for at least six months and withdrew life savings from two bank accounts before vanishing.

Klein also tells RadarOnline.com that the Coast Guard also discovered that McDermott now works as a deckhand in the small Mexican fishing town of Sayulita.

The investigator concluded, “This case is now 94 per cent solved. The remaining six per cent is to actually see McDermott sitting in front of my face.”
