TV: Sunday Hot List

ou know what they say-all good things must come to an end. It seemed like we just caught Olympic fever yesterday during the Opening Ceremonies. Well, tonight the Closing Ceremonies have come way too quickly. Highlights include the parade of athletes, lots of exciting musical performances and the passing of the torch to the site of the 2014 Winter games-Sochi, Russia.

But, for a different kind of razzle and dazzle-we love all the Sunday night wedding themed programming on WE. On Platinum Weddings, experience the over the top nuptials of Cristina and Jorge down in sultry Miami. Their reception includes a lobster and steak dinner for their guests, centerpieces made up of 600 flowers in each one, two dresses for the bride and a fireworks show just to name a few of the crazy touches! And on Rich Bride, Poor Bride-a bride who loves to spend without thinking twice takes advantage of her easy going fiancé’s wallet.

If you’ve got the Sunday night blues after the long, holiday weekend—have no fear. There’s not much new TV on tonight—but what is on will definitely take your mind off of heading back to the grind.

TLC premieres Life in the ER with a full hour of all the drama and life or death moments that a trauma team from a real emergency room face day in and day out. Tonight features two pregnant women involved in a car crash, the victim of a police shooting and a bar fight that turns gruesome!

On our favorite guilty pleasure, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, another sister thinks she may be preggers!  Well, we know it can’t Kourtney since she just gave birth to a baby boy a few weeks ago. It’s newlywed Khloe who gets surprisingly excited at the prospect of motherhood—and you know that Kim will not be too happy that she’s not the one taking the pregnancy test!

And if the holidays have left you in a sugar coma—well, you’ll love the Food Network’s Cupcake Wars. Four cupcake makers go head to head in a competition to have their tasty little cakes presented at the ALMA awards. Yum!

For fans of the short-lived, cult series Dead Like Me—we’ve got a treat for you. The show gets another breath tonight with an all-new feature film. It’s airing on the SyFy channel with the original cast returning. In the movie, the reapers get a new boss and chaos, of course, ensues as a result.

The best show on TV about the living dead is, of course, True Blood. It may not have received any Emmy nods this year but next year we’re sure they’re going to dominate because the show has absolutely hit its stride this season. Sadly, there’s only three episodes left and we’re hanging on to every last minute. Tonight, Sookie, Bill and Jason are back in Bon Temps and they’re determined to defeat MaryAnn, save Tara and help Sam!

Oh, and we have to admit—we’re sorta addicted to Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami. They honestly were the best part of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. Tonight, Khloe’s job as a radio host is on the line and Kourtney befriends a lesbian. We don’t have to wonder how that turns out since she just announced she’s expecting a baby with her ex-boyfriend Scott!
