TV: Monday Hot List

With the Olympics dominating the airwaves for the next two weeks, a lot of your favorite shows are on hiatus. But not to worry, if the Olympics just aren’t your thing, there’s still plenty to get you through.

But, first things first, if you are checking out the games tonight-it’s all about figure skating, speed skating and snowboarding. A medal is on the line tonight for those competing in couples’ figure skating.

One Tree Hill lets one of their own go behind the camera with Betheny Joy Galeotti (Haley) directing tonight’s episode. It’s an emotional show as Haley, Nathan and Jamie deal with Haley’s mom’s illness and Brooke and Julian work on their relationship. Can they please just get back together already?

Keeping Up With The Kardashians is on tonight instead of its usual Sunday night slot. Kourtney break-ups with Scott (how many times have they broken up now? Will she ever really leave him?) because he gets drunk in Las Vegas during Kim’s birthday celebration. We’re sure that Scott has a very good and very convincing excuse, right?

How I Met Your Mother celebrates their 100th episode with a fabulous slew of guest stars—one of whom is even rumored to possibly be Ted’s long awaited future wife and mother of his children! Just who is she? Well, none other than our favorite, former The OC star Rachel Bilson. Fingers crossed that she ends up being the proverbial “one” that fans of the show have been dying to meet! Other stars appearing on the show tonight include Project Runway’s Tim Gunn and former Dancing With The Stars favorite Stacey Keibler. Oh, and no 100th episode is complete without a musical number—so get ready for Barney to sing a little ditty called “Nothing Suits Me Like A Suit!”

And, our favorite curmudgeon with one of the most exotic and daring palates around is back. The sixth season of Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations premieres tonight on the Travel Channel with a trip to Panama to soak in everything the country has to offer in food and culture!

So, Bon Jovi joins James Lipton Inside The Actor’s Studio tonight. We get Jon offering some words of wisdom from his fine acting career that includes such highlights as Moonlight and Valentino but we’re not sure how the rest of the band made it on! Not that we’re complaining—they’re gonna talk about their music career and play some tunes—so we’re sold!

And, the big threesome between Dan, Olivia and Vanessa was slightly anti-climatic on last week’s Gossip Girl. But, we’re hoping that the repercussions will be that much more explosive! The trio goes head to head once again tonight when they all get involved with a school play. Blair, however, just can’t let go of the fact that there’s no hierarchy at NYU. But we give her mad points for trying! Tonight, she brings in Lady GaGa for a private concert.

One Tree Hill star James Lafferty is sitting in the director’s chair tonight. He’s making his directorial debut of the show that he’s starred on since the beginning in an explosive episode. Renee (the girl accusing James’ character Nathan of impregnating her) creates even more drama when she actually does go on Dan’s (his estranged father) show.

On Gossip Girl, Chuck enlists Serena to be his publicist for the club he’s opening up in his new hotel. And Dan learns what it’s really like to date a celebrity while having to grin and bear it as Olivia (Hilary Duff) films a sex scene!

And, with Halloween coming up this weekend, get your spook on with Extreme Paranormal on A&E. Tonight, the show visits a former mental asylum in Pennsylvania where claims of strange sightings have been reported. They also take a trip down to the Manchac Swamp outside of New Orleans in an attempt to communicate with people that died in a 1915 hurricane!  Spooky!

If you’re not watching Greek, then now is the time to get in on one of the best teen themed shows on TV. Tonight, ZBZ hosts a father-daughter weekend where tensions run high when the truth about who Rebecca really kissed is revealed.

The History channel delves deep into the fascinating (and disturbing) world of the Manson family and the 1969 Tate-LaBianca murders on the docudrama Manson. It recounts the brutal crime with archival footage and an interview with former “Manson family” member Linda Kasabian.

And Bravo’s The Rachel Zoe Project is filled to the brim with star power and drama when Rachel gives Brad full reign on dressing Anne Hathaway for the Academy Awards (she was a nominee too so the pressure is high). And Liv Tyler stops by the studio looking for suggestions from the team on updating her look!

Teens rule tonight with the Teen Choice Awards! The Jonas Brothers host the show (and perform) along with performances from Black Eyed Peas and Miley Cyrus (wonder if we’ll be able to catch any googly eyes between Miley and her on again, off again beau Nick Jonas?). Britney Spears gets crowned with the Ultimate Choice award so you don’t want to miss her guaranteed to be unpredictable acceptance speech!

Kathy Griffin ends her season of My Life on The D-List by receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame . . . but in true wannabe fashion, her star is on the walk down in Palm Springs!

And on Jon and Kate Plus Eight, we get a glimpse at life with the Gosselin’s pre-divorce announcement. Tonight, Kate and the kids head to the beach while Jon oversees the installation of new cabinets. With exciting activities like that, we really have no idea why Jon moved out (insert the sarcasm here) . . .
