Michael Jackson's Ex-Neighbors Organize Anti-Neverland Tourism Group

Residents of the Santa Ynez Valley, where Michael Jackson's Neverland Ranch lies, are trying to squash any potential tourism the King of Pop's old stomping grounds might draw to the area, with nostalgia for the late Thriller singer at an all-time high following his death last month.

The group, called Never!, said that the area doesn't have the requisite roads or law enforcement at its disposal that similar attractions, such as Elvis Presley's Graceland, might have.

"We have received mixed messages, some reassuring, some troubling," Never! spokesman Bob Field said. "We'd like clear, concrete signs that there are no plans to pursue turning this into a tourist attraction."

Jackson died after suffering a sudden cardiac arrest June 25 in Los Angeles.
