The film documents the all-teen girl rock band (The Runways) that formed in Hollywood, California in the mid-70s, eventually spawning successful solo acts Joan Jett and Lita Ford.

The Runaways, which also stars Dakota Fanning, Scout Taylor-Compton and Hannah Marks, hits theatres next year.
