While ex-boyfriend Tony Romo’s post break-up plan involved a lot of golf and nights-out with his pack of guy pals, Jessica Simpson has turned to her girlfriends and a little movie watching.

Over the weekend she enjoyed a dinner with her closest girlfriends including Cacee Cobb (“Love my ladies!!! Wish I could be with them everyday of my life. Laughter is wonderful : )” she wrote) but on Monday she nursed her broken heart in typical female fashion: by watching a chick flick!

For those of you who may lack some romantic comedy history, Hope Floats stars Sandra Bullock as a former high school beauty who retreats back to her small Texas hometown after she finds out her husband is having an affair with her best friend. She soon runs into an old friend- played by Connick, Jr.- who unexpectedly sweeps her off of her feet and helps heal her broken heart. Is Romo the former friend and Nick Lachey the ex husband or is Simpson still waiting for her next cowboy?
