BREAKING NEWS: Debbie Rowe Changes Her Mind; Won't Attend Jackson Memorial
Jul. 6 2009, Published 5:23 a.m. ET
Debbie Rowe, the ex-wife of pop superstar Michael Jackson and mother to two of his three children, will not attend Tuesday's public memorial at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, RadarOnline.com has learned.
Earlier Monday, Rowe said she would attend the star-studded event, but then had a change of heart. In a statement to RadarOnline.com, Rowe’s attorney said: “Although Debbie had originally planned to attend tomorrow's Staples Center memorial service, we have concluded with Debbie that she will not be attending. The onslaught of media attention has made it clear her attendance would be an unnecessary distraction to an event that should focus exclusively on Michael's legacy. Debbie will continue to celebrate Michael's memory privately.”
