He's been a Wall Street tyrant, a treasure hunter, and a Fatal Attraction, but Thursday night in Los Angeles, Michael Douglas was an honoree as AFI saluted his body of work with a Lifetime Achievement Award, and RadarOnline.com's Ben Aaron was on the red carpet talking with some of Hollywood's biggest names who attended the star-studded event.

Guests included longtime friends Hugh Hefner, Warren Beatty, and of course his father, legendary actress Kirk Douglas.  The man of the night choked up slightly while talking about the award and having his father with him to celebrate.

Catherine Zeta Jones also stated: "I'm proud of my hubby.  I'm proud that his father is here to share it with him.  It's going to be a very emotional night."

We soon shifted gear once we asked who's a bigger sex symbol, him or his father.  Michael responded with: "I guess you'll ask him."  And we did, Kirk jokingly claimed: "How could you ask this in front of my wife?"

Friend Warren Beatty wanted to know why he was included in the comparison, while Benicio Del Toro figured it a draw stating "You're talking about the apple and the tree.  I don't know."
