Just weeks after the 40th anniversary of the slaying of Sharon Tate and six others in a bloody rampage that shocked Hollywood, convicted murder Susan Atkins will have her 18th parole hearing.

Atkins was one of Charles Manson’s followers and directly responsible for the August 9, 1969 brutal stabbing of Tate and her unborn baby.  The starlet’s husband, director Roman Polanski, was not home at the time.

The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation has just set September 2 for the hearing.

Atkins, 61, who has terminal brain cancer, is paralyzed and confined to bed, is requesting a release on “compassionate” grounds.

Sharon’s sister, Debra Tate, has no pity however.

She told CNN that the so-called ‘Manson Family’ murderers should all remain in prison until they die.

Otherwise, she said, “there will never be true justice for my sister Sharon and the other victims.”
