Farrah Fawcett left donations to shelters for abused women, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.

Her role as an abused woman in The Burning Bed, a 1984 TV movie, was groundbreaking at the time, as she left behind her beautiful pinup image for a gritty and intense performance as a battered woman who ends up setting her husband on fire. The movie brought the issue of spousal abuse and spousal rape to the front of the national dialogue.
