Drew Peterson will be in court Friday afternoon hoping to get his $20 million bond reduced.

As RadarOnline.com has previously reported, the ex-Illinois police sergeant is charged with first degree murder for the drowning death of his third wife, Kathleen Savio, five years ago. Officials said Peterson is also a suspect in the disappearance of his fourth wife, Stacy, who vanished two years ago. Prosecutors Thursday had a new judge appointed to the case in a development Peterson's defense attorneys said they were satisfied with.

In hoping for the reduction of the bond, defense attorneys have said that Peterson poses no flight risk based on his trips he took -- after being named a suspect in Stacy's disappearance -- to locales reaching as far as Mexico, California and Florida, without trying to flee.

A spokeswoman for Stacy Peterson's family disagreed.

"We're dealing with someone who's a potential murderer," spokeswoman Pam Bosco said. "I think that would be something that the judge would recognize and keep him in jail for everyone's protection." (Photo: Mike Williams)
