As “sources” and past title winners come forward calling for current Miss California Carrie Prejean to step down, RadarOnline.com has learned that early next week the battle for a crown is set to come to a head finally.
This week, Donald Trump announced he would hold a press conference regarding the pageant next Tuesday in New York. The Miss California USA pageant officials announced Friday they would be holding a separate press conference in Los Angeles on Monday. Instead of Prejean, runner-up Miss Malibu Tami Farrell will be in attendance.
“The Press Conference will address many issues surrounding Miss California USA,” the official press release said. “Participants in this press conference include: Keith Lewis & Shanna Moakler- Co Executive Directors of the Miss California USA Pageant, Chelsea Gilligan- the current Miss California Teen USA, Tami Farrell- 1st Runner-Up to Miss California USA 2009.”
A pageant source confirmed to RadarOnline.com that Prejean “has been invited but has yet to accept.”
