Phil Spector To Be Sentenced Friday

Phil Spector has found himself in a hairy situation.
The music stalwart with the pallet of bizarre hairdos, convicted on second-degree murder charges in connection with the fatal 2003 shooting of actress Lana Clarkson at his Alhambra mansion, is slated to receive a minimum 15-year-sentence from Judge Larry Paul Fiedler Friday. He faces up to life imprisonment, officials said.
The "Wall Of Sound" producer had been linked with several gun incidents with various women, trial witnesses claimed, over the years before the Clarkson shooting.

In addition to the murder charges, the producer was also convicted of using a gun, which prosecutors said should carry a further four-year sentence. Spector’s attorney, Doron Weinberg, wants it reduced to three years.
Weinberg told the AP that the 69-year-old producer, who worked with icons such as John Lennon, Tina Turner and Leonard Cohen, has kept his spirits high by focusing on an appeal.

"He's adjusting to the circumstances and settling down to wait out an appeal with high hopes," Weinberg said. "He feels he will win the appeal."
Weinberg also claimed that Spector has “steadfastly maintained since the February 3, 2003… that he did not kill Lana Clarkson, and he is not responsible for her death.”
