After a devastating loss on Britain's Got Talent, Scottish singer Susan Boyle has been admitted to London's Priory Clinic for exhaustion, according to recent reports.

According to the UK Sun, staffers from the UK talent show contacted authorities on Sunday evening after Boyle was seen wandering her London hotel looking disoriented. Paramedics were called to the scene and took Boyle away voluntarily, the Web site said.

"It was all done very calmly. They didn't want to stress or upset her. She didn't look well - she looked lost, not all there," a source told the paper.

A BGT spokesperson said a statement: "Following Saturday's show, Susan is exhausted and emotionally drained. She has been seen by her private GP, who supports her decision to take a few days out for rest and recovery. We offer her our ongoing support and wish her a speedy recovery."

The facility Boyle was transported to, The Priory Clinic, told the BBC they could "neither confirm nor deny the reports."

Boyle's brother, Gerry told the BBC that she was fine, but had a touch of homesickness.

"Susan just wants to come home and see her cat," he said.

The empathy for Boyle has trickled all the way up to British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, who told GMTV that he was keeping tabs on the singer through BGT judges Simon Cowell and Piers Morgan.

"I hope Susan Boyle is OK, because she is a really, really nice person and I think she will do well," Brown said.

Boyle is 48, native to Blackburn, West Lothian. She came in second place in the competition, beat by dance troupe Diversity.
