On Monday, a Rhode Island Judge signed an arrest warrant for alleged “Craigslist Killer” Philip Markoff.

The charges are assault with intent to rob, assault with a dangerous weapon, possession of a handgun, and use of a firearm while committing an act of violence. The charges are in connection with an attack on a 26-year-old prostitute on April 16, 2009, at the Holiday Inn Express and Suites in Warwick.

The 23-year-old Boston Univesity Medical student has already been charged with similar “Craigslist” attacks at high end hotels in Boston including the fatal shooting of a 25-year-old masseuse. It is being reported that finger-prints belonging to him were found at the crime scene.

Detectives also have a grainy black and white photograph captured by hotel security cameras that they believe is Markoff. Last month, he pled not guilty to charges of murder, kidnapping, and armed robbery in connection with separate attacks against two women at two other hotels.
