Murder Charges Filed Against Atlanta Man In Fatal Rapper Shooting

On Wednesday, an Atlanta man was charged with Monday’s fatal shooting of an up-and-comer rapper at the Beverly Center shopping mall in Los Angeles.
Aubrey Louis Berry, 23, is charged with one count of murder and two counts each of assault with a firearm, all with the special allegations of personal use of a handgun.
Berry allegedly got into an altercation with Roderick Burton, aka Dolla. He then allegedly pulled out a gun and fired, fatally wounding the 21-year-old artist and firing at two other people in Burton’s party. The shooting occurred shortly after 3 p.m. in the parking garage of the mall. Berry allegedly drove away in a rented Mercedes SUV and was later arrested at the Los Angeles International Airport. He allegedly had a gun with him at the time of his arrest.

He is being held on $1.1 million bail. If convicted, he faces a maximum of life in prison with the possibility of parole.
