Runner-Up Tami Farrell is ready to take the Miss California crown--should Donald Trump decide to strip current holder Carrie Prejean of her title.

Farrell, who appeared alongside Shanna Moakler and Keith Lewis at a press conference for the Miss California organization Monday, has been given the title Beauty of California Ambassador. She'll be acting as the alternate for Prejean.

Farrell tells RadarOnline.com that she “doesn’t really know” Prejean, but is excited to begin her duties. Farrell says she's happy to have the role but still feels conflicted.

"I'm kind of torn because with this whole situation I don't feel like anyone can really win. People are going to be torn no matter what," Farrell said.

Moakler and Lewis made the announcement about the alternate solution after saying Prejean has not been involved with the Miss CA pageant since her controversial statements at the Miss USA Pageant. The two felt that naming Farrell as an ambassador would refocus attention on the pageant's mission, not Prejean herself.

Lewis told press that despite her post-pageant claims, Prejean was not winning the competition as she entered the final phases.  The disgraced beauty has told many news outlets that she would have won were it not for her answer to a question regarding gay marriage. Lewis denies the assertion, indicating she was in 3rd place in the swimsuit competition and 2nd in the gown completion, therefore not guaranteed the first place spot.

Trump is scheduled to hold a news conference Tuesday in New York to announce Prejean's fate.

"Most of these girls are models... they do things that are not necessarily a bad thing. And look, Carrie is a seriously good looking girl. Because of her looks, they are making such a big deal with this," Trump said of Prejean this weekend.

He also added that racy photos of the contestant were "not that bad."
