Songstress MIA is asking Oprah Winfrey for help, appealing to the talk-show megastar to help draw attention to bombings against civilians in her native country of Sri Lanka. The musician took to her Myspace page after attending the Time Magazine 100 Most Influential People of the year party on Tuesday night, where both she and Winfrey were honored, and gushed about meeting the icon.
“SHE SQUEEEEZED MY HAND SO HARD , I WAS CONVINCED SHE CARED,” the caps-loving MIA blogged. “MICHELLE OBAMA GAVE A SPEECH AND THERE WAS MAD SECRET SERVICE IN THE AIR SO I DIDNT GET TO THROW A PAPER PLANE AT HER SAYING " STOP THE BOMBING OF THE TAMILS IN SRI LANKA" The Sri Lankan Air Force has admitted to bombing a civilian camp in the country, where as many as 150,000 refugees were living, earlier this year.
