Actor Liam Neeson has spoken to the ski-instructor who was with his wife Natasha Richardson seconds before the freak skiing accident that led to her death, RadarOnline.com can reveal.

Neeson, 56, phoned the veteran female instructor at Quebec’s Mont Tremblant Resort in Canada to ask what happened after his 45-year-old wife fell and hit her head in March.

A source at the resort told the UK Sun newspaper: “He was very dignified and never sought to blame anyone – he just wanted to understand what happened for his own peace of mind.”

Richardson died from her resulting injuries following the fall on March 16 at the popular Canadian ski resort.

She was taken from the accident scene on a rescue toboggan before being accompanied by the instructor and an associate to her hotel room.

Richardson initially refused medical assistance but started to suffer severe headaches in her hotel room and had to be rushed to a local hospital for treatment.

She was subsequently transferred to a Montreal Hospital with Neeson before being flown back to America where she died in a New York after being taken off life-support.

Tremblant spokesperson Catherine Lacasse told Radaronline.com: “We cannot comment whether Mr Neeson has spoken with our instructor because that would be a private matter.

Obviously, our thoughts are with the family over this terrible accident.”

Local police have officially closed their file on the case into the accident that rocked Hollywood.
