Katy Perry Contemplates Marriage

I Kissed A Girl pop star Katy Perry has admitted that she would consider swapping fame and fortune for settling down and starting a family.

Speaking in the June edition of Cosmopolitan Magazine the 24-year-old said: “I'm not in a rush, but last night I was thinking, ‘Is it wrong for me to want to marry soon and have that feeling?’...  To me, marriage isn’t about bank accounts and houses; it’s about finding the one you can hitch your hip to and build on each other’s strengths.“      

The performer recently reunited with her Gym Class Heroes singer boyfriend Travis McCoy.                            

“I don’t like being single, no. I live this fantastic life, full of all these magical things, and at the end of the day all I want to do is pick up my phone and share it with someone. The other day I’d sold a million records in the US and I didn’t have anyone to tell. It was actually a really lonely moment.”

Perry – who was raised a Born Again Christian by her two Pastor parents in Santa Barbara – is determined not to go the way of other fallen starlets like Amy Winehouse and Lindsay Lohan. To keep herself grounded Perry lives with her sister Angela, 26, at her home in Hollywood and admits she allows her sister curb any diva-like behavior.

She added: “Angela travels with me everywhere to make sure I’m on time – she’s the one that kick’s my ass!

“The way she wakes me up is pretty horrible. She’ll stand over my face with a glass of cold water and count to three. If I’m not up by three, she’ll pour. You need ‘no’ people around you, otherwise you’ll end up in rehab. My sister doesn’t care how many records I’ve sold, what I’ve done or what I have.”
