Adnan Ghalib, a paparazzo who once dated Britney Spears, will appear in a Van Nuys California court Monday morning in connection with three felony charges stemming from a February incident in which he is accused of running over a man trying to serve him with a restraining order.

During the hearing Monday, the judge is expected to set a date for Ghalib's preliminary hearing. At that time, the judge will decide if there is enough evidence to order Ghalib to stand trial.

Ghalib is charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon, felony battery and felony hit and run after the incident which happened outside his Encino apartment on February 11th.

The alleged victim, process server Ram Maskowtiz, said he was attempting to serve papers detailing restraining order proceedings the singer's sister Jaime had filed Ghalib, Sam Lutfi and Jon Eardley. Maskowtiz said he suffered a fractured wrist, scrapes and bruises after Ghalib hit him with the vehicle; he told authorities he remained on the car's hood about 35 yards after initial impact was made.
