VIDEO: Akon Artist Dolla Shot and Killed

A rapper signed to pop star Akon's record label was shot and killed in Los Angeles Monday, as he entered the Beverly Center shopping complex.
The 21-year-old artist, real name Roderick Anthony Burton, suffered a gunshot to the head just after 3 p.m.
Burton was on the premises with fellow artist D.J. Shabazz at the time of the shooting, waiting at an entrance to the mall.

Police detained a potential suspect two hours later, attempting to board a plane at Los Angeles International Airport, reports say. Cops at LAX approached the suspect, who then revealed a 9 millimeter handgun.
The alleged shooter, reportedly named Aubery Berry, was arrested and is currently in custody.
