Zac Efron has been making hearts melt for years -- now he's in danger of melting himself.
A life-sized wax figure of the 21-year-old High School Musical hottie was unveiled at the museum's New York branch, on loan from its Las Vegas location, Thursday.

"Efron was an enthusiastic participant in the creation of his wax figure and participated in a figure sitting with Merlin Studio artists whilst on the set of Disney’s High School Musical 3: Senior Year, the museum wrote in a press release. "The sitting took nearly two hours and required 250 precise measurements of Efron’s head and body and hundreds of photographs to ensure a precise likeness could be created. “

The heartthrob's wax likeness will reside on the attraction’s fifth floor for three months, in the same room as the figure of Miley Cyrus, Madame Tussauds' rep Tiphane Thompson told RadarOnline.com. The museum said they decided to cast the wax Efron, who Rolling Stone described as the "poster boy for tweenyboppers," for his considerable achievements in entertainment over the past few years.
No word on whether a wax Vanessa Hudgens is in the works.
