She's a star. She's a brand. Some people even say she's a role model.

Miley Cyrus, 16, is a cash machine with her hit TV show "Hannah Montana" and the soon-to-open related theatrical movie. But one thing she's not is a teenager going through what most teens face.

And that's a danger sign according to Dr. Drew Pinsky, author of the critically acclaimed, The Mirror Effect, How Celebrity Narcissism is Seducing America.

In an exclusive interview with RadarOnline.com, Dr. Drew said: "The biggest concern for Miley is that she has never had the opportunity to go through the usual developmental milestones of adolescence. Look at Dakota Fanning, she goes to school, she is a regular student, she is a cheerleader. She does her thing, and then she has her career on the side."

Dr. Drew, who has not treated either star, is well aware of the scandals surrounding Miley. She was the subject of a controversial Vanity Fair racy photo shoot in which she was topless but photographed from behind, and more recently was criticized when a picture surfaced showing her slanting her eyes.

In Hannah Montana: The Movie, which will be released April 10, Miley has to choose between her glamorous Hollywood life or a simple life she craves away from the spotlight.

But in real life, Dr. Drew says, it's all career and that's a problem.

"Miley's career has taken over," Dr. Drew told RadarOnline.com.  "I don't see where she has to contend with the usual developmental process of being a teenager, and that tends to have consequences."
