New Twist: Springsteen's Alleged Mistress Was Assaulted By Husband

The New Jersey husband who accused rocker Bruce Springsteen of having an affair with his wife was charged with assaulting her at the family home, RadarOnline.com can reveal.

Arthur Kelly, 45, was arrested and charged with ‘simple assault’ following an incident at the family home in West Long Branch, New Jersey.

Sergeant Habermann of West Long Branch Police told RadarOnline: “We can confirm that our officers attended an incident at the Kelly residence on March 3, 2009."

“Our officers arrested Mr Kelly and he was charged with ‘simple assault’ following an altercation with his wife Ann Kelly."

“He was taken to West Long Branch Police station where he was later released after he posted $100 bail."

“Mr Kelly was due to appear at our local court in connection with this charge on March 10, 2009.”"

Earlier today, Ann Kelly’s attorney Noel Tonnerman released a statement saying that her client denied allegations that she had an affair with Springsteen, saying they were made by a “jealous man.”

Following Arthur Kelly’s divorce bombshell in papers filed March 27, 2009, Springsteen defended his marriage to Patti Scialfa saying that he stood by a 2006 statement that infidelity reports were “unfounded.”

Arthur Kelly’s attorney Edward Fradkin has not replied to calls.
