An Australian judge denied bail Thursday to a convicted stalker in connection with six new charges for allegedly cyber-stalking former American Idol contestant Diana DeGarmo.

Tanya Maree Quattrocchi, 23, was placed in custody in January after police said she tormented and harassed DeGarmo online and hacked into her MySpace account. Quattrocchi served 150 hours of community service two years ago after she was convicted on cyber-stalking and blackmailing charges, also aimed at DeGarmo.

Some of the e-mails Quattrocchi allegedly sent, authorities said, included disturbing references to incestuous acts.

"I have moved twice and she still finds me. I cannot have any private or professional life without her infiltrating it," DeGarmo said about Quattrocchi in a statement last year. "No matter what I do I cannot get away from her. She is still to this day stealing my online identity and harassing my friends, family and myself."

DeGarmo was likely to continue with her pattern of behavior if granted bail, officials told the court.

The woman's mother, in a desperate plea to keep her daughter out of the slammer, told the court she'd be willing to quit her job and monitor her 23-year-old daughter 24 hours a day if necessary.

"Tanya is not a bad person, she might have made a stupid mistake and I want to help her," mother Lina Quattrocchi said. "I can't see her surviving prison life. She just doesn't fit in there."

Quattrocchi's next court appearance is slated for May 11.

Meanwhile, D'Garmo is in Los Angeles right now, rehearsing for the musical Back to Bacharach and David which opens April 19 at the Music Box @ Fonda. The show is described as a is a night of amazing voices, comedy, and a tribute to the brilliant songs that Burt Bacharach and Hal David wrote from 1960 to 1970.
