"Frankly, he doesn't deserve to be in this awkward position," Newsday's Jamshid Mousavinezhad wrote. "He's put his all into the competition every week, has always done something creative and interesting, has a great voice."

The final four contestants -- Adam Lambert, Kris Allen, Allison Iraheta and Danny Gokey -- will duke it out during rock 'n' roll week, starting Tuesday at 8/7c on Fox, while No Doubt and Daughtry are slated to rock next Wednesday's results show, starting at 9/8c.
