Rapper DMX is trying to clean himself up -- in front of rolling cameras.

The 38-year-old hardcore rapper will join the cast of the VH-1's Celebrity Rehab show for its upcoming third season, the show's  resident drug counselor, Bob Forrest told RadarOnline.com exclusively.

DMX is the first celebrity named in the new cast.

The rapper, whose real name is Earl Simmons, has a laundry list of offenses over the past ten years, with the most recent one being a 90-day jail sentence for theft, drug possession and animal cruelty convictions.
