No Tori, no bashing, just smashing fashion! The First Lady of Television, Candy Spelling, sat down with RadarOnline.com's Style Guy to talk all things

style and her evolution from "celebrity by marriage" to author and public figure.

In the green room, prepping for her book signing at Barnes & Noble in Los Angeles, Spelling was sitting pretty in a classic suit jacket and striped skirt. The

look was a bright tangerine as she is "trying to incorporate more color" into her wardrobe.

As a true lady of luxury, she paired the suit with a mint-condition Hermes bag in orange, something she's "had for years." The fabulosity of it

all, folks, was practically singing from her pocketbook!

In Stories from Candy Land, Spelling discusses her passion for collecting and (like most gals) she tells us she collects handbags and shoes too!

Her favorite pair is the "classic black Chanel ballet flat," because "you can wear them with everything."

Imagining how many shoes must live in the palatial master-closet of the Spelling Manor, it's clear that even Candy has fashion staples like anyone (with a lot more zeroes on her bank statements).

Amidst discussing scarves and shoes, Spelling offhandedly remarks she is "scaling back her wardrobe." After all, imagine how many Louis Vuitton luggage trunks it will take to transport her from her famous mansion to her in-the-works Century City penthouse!

As a woman who can buy anything, she tells us that her fashion "probably says I am a lot more confident than I am."  She says that aside from "trying

to incorporate more color, her style has not really changed" since the passing of her mega-producer hubby Aaron.

A fashion model in her teen years, when shopping Spelling "can spot what will work without even trying it on."   Better yet, according to Candy, 98% of the time when she brings her purchases home, she is right.

Now that's a talent!

With decades of experience under Hollywood's watchful style eye, Candy offers up some tips for women 50-plus and how to age with garment grace.

The most interesting: "Don't wear things that are too tight."
